*"VARIETY reports Fox has canceled Joss Whedon's SF series FIREFLY, citing low ratings. The series' cancellation was reported here Friday based on a posting from the show's executive producer on his Web site.
The final episode will be next week's airing of the show's two-hour pilot. Whedon is quoted in the VARIETY story from a posting to a fan site: "I think it has been mistreated shamefully. I proudly take my place beside PROFIT, THE BEN STILLER SHOW, THE TICK, and ACTION."*
What took them so long? I'd only seen one episode of Joss Whedon's Firefly, and looking at it now, even reading the synopsis on the episodes, I couldn't tell you which one it was. I guess I'll just wait for it to hit DVD and give it another shot.
It's pretty cold out here tonight. Downright chilling to the bones.
Across the street from the library is city hall, and in front of city hall are two large gigantic redwood trees. And they've strung (although it looks much more like dropped) Christmas lights over it. Why do I prattle on about some silly tree? Because it represents man co-existing with nature, and the union being an achievement of wonderment.
